Two-day  Conference

The 7th Annual IAF Conference will be held on 21–22 May 2026 at The Johnstown Estate Hotel, Enfield, Co. Meath, Ireland.

The IAF is an internationally focused professional association for research and education on the discipline of Finance. It promotes the advancement of research, knowledge and education in the field of Finance with a particular focus on engaging academic and professional communities. It aims to enhance collaborations between researchers in Finance from many universities and other institutions in Ireland and abroad.

Submissions are welcome in all areas of finance, including but not limited to Corporate Finance, Sustainable and Green Finance, Behavioural Finance, Financial Markets and Investments, Macro-Finance, FinTech and Digital Transformation, Risk Management, Alternative Investments, Consumer Finance, SME Finance, International Finance, Public Finance, and Financial Education.

The Irish Academy of Finance (IAF) invites submissions for its annual PhD Student Conference, specifically designed for finance PhD candidates in their penultimate or final year who are preparing to enter the job market. This conference offers a valuable platform for emerging scholars to present their research before peers and leading academics, receive constructive feedback on their core research ideas, refine their presentation skills in anticipation of job market interviews, and engage in meaningful networking with established researchers in the field. Keynote Speaker

Professor Renee Adams (Saïd Business School, University of Oxford)

Renée B. Adams is Professor of Finance at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, specializing in board information flows, bank governance, group decision-making, central bank governance, and gender diversity in leadership.

She holds an MS in Mathematics from Stanford and a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago, with an international career including roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and positions in Sweden and Australia. A Fellow of the European Corporate Governance Institute, her influential research on governance and diversity has shaped policy debates worldwide.

    Authors will be notified of acceptance decisions by Friday, 20 March 2026. Accepted authors must complete their registration by Friday, 3 April 2026. Conference registration includes access to all sessions, refreshments, lunch, conference dinner and networking events.

    The Conference Fee is €350 for Members (faculty members of QUB, UCD, UCC, DCU, UL, MU and SETU) or €450 for non-Members. The Conference Fee should be paid by way of Bank Transfer (details are given in the Registration Form). For presenters, please quote your registration/OpenConf Id number and name with the bank transfer. For all other delegates please quote your name with the bank transfer. Receipts will be available on submission of Registration form and payment of Conference Fee.
